We just put in a new spam filter for a client, and here’s the stats of how much traffic it blocked in the first few days:
Friday – Saturday: 19,000 spam emails
Saturday – Sunday: 10,000 spam emails
Sunday – Monday: 9,000 spam emails
This has not only cut down on having to spend 45 minutes – 1 hour deleting spam each day, but also made the website run faster, as it didn’t have to deal with all of these things.
