Peggy Dyer, our office mate and photographer extraordinaire, has created a new website, www.onemillionfaces.org. We were happy to help her with the coding of the site, and threw in the PageDirector content management system software, including the SEO control center.

In Peggy’s words, here’s the scoop:
First, a short history of how this all spontaneously happened: I was driving down into Boulder two weeks ago, while the Bon Jovi classic “Wanted Dead or Alive” was playing on the radio: “I’ve seen a million faces, and I rocked them all!” Suddenly, inspiration struck.

My heart skipped a beat. I got an idea: I wondered if I’d photographed a million faces over the course of my career? Away from questions, my mind raced for action: I bet I can photograph a million faces in 2009. I bet that I can raise millions of dollars for local charities across the country. So I started talking about it. I mentioned it to all my friends, I mentioned it to Deirdre from MESA before I read in the V-Day show last Friday night.

They were stoked to be my first charity & my first faces. And since then, this has been moving at epic speed… I created the One Million Faces Project to paint a portrait of America. I want to inspire a sense of connection, community and spread hope, love and peace all along the way. I have more trips and events lined up, and the phone won’t stop ringing! In less than 1 week, I’ve heard from people across the world interested in participating.

I believe that if I can inspire people to create and to laugh, that more light will shine. Let’s change the world, one face at a time. I hope you join me. I want you to be among the first to participate in this historic journey!

Let your light shine at one of the 4 upcoming shoots:
March 6th — Naropa
March 7th — Mountain’s Edge Fitness
March 8th — Avon Public Library
March 18th — Boulder Theater

I will be out and about for the cause:

Driving to Des Moines March 20th…
In Birmingham, AL, the beginning of April
Landing in Naples, FL, on April 6th
And, back in CO for a few weeks: April 23 — May 12th
